meant a make-up day. Monday was originally to have been an in-service day. Two other snow days have been set for April 23 and May 28. Those are to take care of the last batch of missed days. The new snow days have yet tobeset.
School Board chairman Beverly Massie announced recently that meetings would ordinarily be postponed anytime they were set for a day when school had been closed. If the roads were too risky to send the children to school, the reasoning went, they were also too perilous for the public and the school officials. However by mid-afternoon, the snow had melted sufficiently to allow the budget hearing to proceed as scheduled.
