At a work session Monday night, the Rappahannock County Board of Zoning Appeals voted to mail meeting notices to people who might be affected by pending cases.
The board unanimously approved a motion from Peter Kramer to send written notice to adjacent landowners and those directly across the road from any land with an application pending. This would include any type of case.
The board had made a number of decisions, Kramer argued, in which the neighbors were not aware of what was going on and would have been interested in attending the public hearing. Citizens might not always be able to tell from the legal ads that they could
