The Constitution of Virginia requires that you be registered in the precinct in which you live in order to be qualified to vote. In order to be eligible to vote in the General Town Election of Washington to be held on Tuesday, May 1, 1964, you must register no later than 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 31,1984, the final day of registration. The Voter Registration Office of Rappahannock County located at the address shown below will be open for registration on Saturday, March 31,1984 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the purpose of registering qualified persons. The office at the Courthouse, Gay Street, will also be open on Saturday, April 21, and Saturday, April 28, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the purpose of accepting applications for absentee ballots for this Town of Washington General Election. April 28,1984, is the last day on which applications for absentee ballot may be made in person by qualified applicants for this election.
