trends, the fanners in Rappahannock are getting older; the average age creeping from 54 years in 1978 to 54% years in 1962. But during that period, more young people entered agricultural fields here. Rappahannock had three farmers under 25 years in 1978 and six in 1982; 19 farmers between 25 and 34 years in 1978 and 25 in 1982; 43 farmers between 35 and 44 years in 1978 and 47 in 1982.
