The grand jury returned four true bills against Craig Kenyon, 18, of Slate Mills, for theft of purses and credit cards on March 3 at the Rappahannock races. His case was set for April 6 for further disposition.
Three true bills were brought back against Michael Joseph Carey, charging him with issuing three forged checks. Carey is currently a prisoner in the Culpeper jail. His trial is set for May 14 at 10 a. m.
The grand jury also returned a true bill against Jeff Noel Neal for passing a bad check at Blue Ridge Guns in Amiss ville and against Larry Leon Schifflett as an habitual offender. The judge ordered extradition proceedings begun on Neal who is believed to be somewhere in the Midwest. Schifilett’s trial with a jury is scheduled for May 3 at 10 a.m.
