Take Training
Six RCES teachers traveled to Stafford County last week to attend a Great Books basic leader training course.
Local teachers who will be leaders in the literary program are Deb Drescher, Greg Drescher, Candy Lamina, Mike Connifry, Monica Toman and Susan Wittl. Their preparation in the recent discussion group was designed to help them inspire children in talking about the classics in literature.
The Great Books program is planned to start in Rappahannock County during the 1984-85 school year, according to teacher Susan Wittl. Meant as an enrichment to the school's present reading program, it will be open to pupils in grades 2-7 who are reading at or above their grade level.
