A series of parenting classes sponsored by the Rappahannock Department of Social Services will begin on March 28.
In the classes, which are scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesdays through May 2, topics such as child development, effective discipline, how to have fun with children, understanding feelings, fears and special problems, teaching a child right from wrong and why children misbehave will be addressed. The classes will be conducted as informal discussion groups.
Babysitting and transportation (if necessary) will be provided. The Department is seeking volunteers to assist with these services. For information and registration or to volunteer, call the Welfare Department at 675-3326.
