“This has been a terrible year weather-wise and people have not been able to train their horses properly. It may be that some horses are just coming into their own by then and we can get really good entries and racing.”

The timber fences at Blue Ridge are large and strong. Usually they are the first real test for a timber horse on the point-to-point circuit and a horse has to be Well prepared to survive and win at this course.

The program for the April 29 meet will be the same as the cancelled meet with seven races on the card. By then, said Mr. Dunning, there will be more turf that will be a benefit for the horses.
