In beginning the work towards implementation of the mandate, the Rappahannock School Board last week named Superintendent David Gangel as contact person and Judy Tole, outgoing president of the elementary school’s PTA, as leader of the Community Involvement Team. Both will attend an in-service training session this July at Virginia Beach.
After that training, I)r. Gangel said, members of the Involvement Team will be named by the School Board. Appointees will include physicians, parents, clergy, and representatives from health, mental health and social service agencies, as well as a School Board member, teachers, and administrators, he added.
