Our mistakes are the secret of success. My father once told me that there was nothing wrong in making a mistake, for then I knew what needed to be changed. But there was something wrong with making the same mistake twice, for then I had nothing to improve the situation— nor had I won.
George Bernard Shaw added another perspective when he said, “A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.” Our mistakes provide us with the opportunity to climb to the top.
We grow and appreciate those things most in life which we have worked the hardest to attain. Nothing is worth having which we have not earned.
