Arciem Almase is ready to move to her new home. All she lacks is the name other new owner.
The two-year-old registered Arabian filly is the grand prize in the Heads Up 4-H Club’s current fundraising effort. The proceeds from the fund-raising drive will benefit its activities, including tack, horse leasing for riding lessons and entry fees to competitions attended by the club’s members.
The filly’s new owner will be announced on Friday, May 20.
Last Sunday, the club sold nine horses through the Post and Rail Horse and Pony Auction at the Fauquier Livestock Exchange. The highest bid of the day came on an Arabian bay gelding, ridden into the arena by eight-year-old club member Lilly Weik.
