The members of the Piedmont Board of Realtors, she concluded, “are committed to the communities they serve, and are proud to have this opportunity to express that commitment.”
As a part of the community service observance, the Piedmont Board of Realtors also selected its Realtor
of the Year. This year, Michael Brooke Miller, broker and president of The Miller Company of Culpeper, received that honor.
Mr. Miller became a real estate agent in 1973, obtained his broker’s license in 1975, and started The Miller Company in 1980.
He became a Certified Residential Specialist in 1979 and was
named CRS of the Year in Virginia in 1984. He served as president of the state’s CRS chapter in 1986.
Mr. Miller was also president of the Piedmont Board of Realtors in 1982.
A lifelong Culpeper County resident, Mr. Miller is married to the former Lou Ellen Thurston. They have one son, Fielding, age 3.
