Also during the fall, teleconferences on implementation will be conducted, and in the spring of 1990, teleconferences will be held with all those who will be teaching. These will be followed by an evaluation session with the school division contact person.
Provisions for support and follow-up are based on research findings indicating that if effective training and and follow-up activities are not given, there is little likelihood of teachers putting into practice what they have been trained to do, according to the guidelines. “The evaluation will be designed to determine, on a continuing basis, what is actually taking place in the classroom and how parents view the program.”
