There are state governmental services, such as the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and other activities funded by the RappahannockRapidan Community Services Center. Many of those programs depend on supplemental volunteer help.
A number of clubs and civic organizations serve the county beside the aforementioned Lions Club, including the Amissville Ruritans, the Rappahannock Woman’s Club, the Garden Club, the Recreation Authority, the Friends of the Rappahannock Library, the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC) and the Community Concert Series.
