Mr. McCarthy noted that the planners had received a petition opposing the application signed by 25 people and a separate letter in opposition from Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bernard.
The petition says, “The establishment of such a business is not consistent with the residential character ofthe Castleton area. It can expose residents to increased traffic, infringement on privacy, and presents liability concerns to adjoining property owners. The possibility exists that this action can have a negative impact on some property values and the community’s quality of life.”
