If nobody else will say thank you, I will. Thank you, Mr. Carrigan for letting us use your building for all that time. Thank you for paying the utility bills on the building for all that time. Thank you for paying to have the interior painted, and for having the stage built on which the altar sat. Thank you for furnishing the back room. Thank you for furnishing a parking lot so the parishioners would be able to have a place to park. Thank you for the wood stove you furnished to keep us warm in the winter, and for the air conditioner in the summer.

These are but a few of your many contributions. Your guiding hand and generosity will be missed.

To the Editor:

Concerning the column written in the Rappahannock News under “Day By Day,” I believe the Aileen workers were being unfairly accused of something they did not do.

As far as ladies being neat and proper, we try to be, but sometimes when we feel that we are the butt evil of someone’s joke, we lose it and forget that we are ladies. I personally do not drink, however, if I did, I am human and I do make mistakes. The Bible says to “Judge not and ye shall not be judged.” In the eyes of the Lord it is no greater sin to drink than it is to falsely accuse someone of something in which they did not do.

The trash, I believe, was not on Aileen property. We invite people to visit our plant and they would see just how neat Aileen Inc. is. Believe it or not we do clean inside and outside of our plant, we have our own trash dumpsters and all of this is at the company’s expense.

I suggest those people who go for long walks should leave their homes 10 minutes early, armed with a trash bag, and pick up the trash along the road along which they walk. Of course this would be at their time and convenience and their expense.
