A native of Amissville, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Bertha Frye Tharp.
She is survived by six sons, Clifton Roger Cole of Crimora, Willie Harvey Cole, Willard Lee Cole, Clarence Paul Cole and Cecil James Cole, all of Culpeper; and John Ashby Cole of Fairfax; three daughters, Hannah Dodson of Culpeper, Evelyn Jenkins and July Talley, both of Richmond; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ed Lee Tharp of Centreville, Wade Tharp of Scottsville and Willie Tharp of Stanley and two sisters, Mae Wince of Culpeper and Ethel Glover of Charles . Town, W.Va.
A funeral was held Tuesday, March 24 at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper with the Rev. Charles Clinedinst officiating. Interment was in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
