The Rappahannock County Garden Club held its regular monthly meeting March 18 at the Washington Fire Hall.
Members voted unanimously to contribute funds to the Rappahannock County Library for the purchase of books on horticulture and floral arranging, and for the additional purchase of plants and trees to landscape the area in front of the parking lot.
Dates were announced for annual spring clean-ups. Members will assemble at the Rappahannock Courthouse May 6 to work on azaleas and boxwood and on April 8 to pick up trash along Route 231—the club’s two-mile Adopt-a-Highway site. Also announced was the May 26-28 environmental workshop at the 4-H Center in Chester Gap.
