Ennis S. “Penny” Jenkins Jr. was recently honored for his 35 years of service with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
Mr. Jenkins is a transportation maintenance superintendent assigned to the Washington, Va. headquarters. Of his service with VDOT, Mr. Jenkins said he enjoys “the work and the people."
Mr. Jenkins and wife Patricia live in Washington, Va. They have two sons, Gary and Keith, a daughter, Nancy, and a grandson, Charles Ray.
He has been a member of the Washington Volunteer Fire Company for 20 years, the past two years serving as second assistant chief. In 1990 he was named the outstanding fireman in Rappahannock County.
