banners market to open

The Rappahannock Fanners Association plans to organize and open a new Rappahannock Fanners’ Market in the summer of ’92. Anyone wishing to sell homegrown produce and/or homemade crafts, baked goods or specialties should identify thier market interestes and send name, address and telephone number to the Rappahannock Fanners Association Inc., P.O. Class reunion planned

The Rappahannock High Class of 1982 is preparing for its 10-year reunion tentatively planned for Sept. 12 and 13. Brochures will be sent out and any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Booster Club organizing

Anyone interested in helping to organize a Rappahannock High School Atheltic Booster Club is invited to attend a meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31 at RCHS auditorium.

S.H.A.R.E. Delivery Day set

— The March Delivery Day time for Self-Help and Resource Exchange (S.H.A.R.E.) is 10-11 a.m. Saturday, March 28 at the Washington Baptist Church. All participants should pick up their groceries at that time.

A donation of not more than $1 will be appreciated on Delivery Day to defer the cost of gas for the two men who drive each month to pick up the groceries. Participants should also bring their community service vouchers and $13 in cash or food stamps to sign up for April. Call 675-3619.

Summer program

The deadline for children grades four through eight to apply for the break-through summer program is Friday, March 27. This is a special U.S. Education program to provide keyboarding, word processing and other computer skills. Application forms will be distributed with report cards Thursday, March 19.

Meeting of Rainforest group

The March meeting of the Rainforest Action Group will take place at 7:80 p.m. Thursday, March 26 in the Rappahannock Library. The 'meeting will focus on plans for Earth Day in April that include a community-wide trash pick-up, as well as publicity for several pending events (one is titled “How Do You Spell Skin Cancer? DuPont.”).

Public school spring break

The Rappahannock Public School system will be closed for spring break April 16-21. For more information call the School Board Office at 987-8773.
