Both Pamela Lynn and Wakefield Country Day School (CDS) have filed their responses to Wakefield School-Marshall’s $14 million lawsuit.
In a 30-page answer to the amended bill of complaint and eightpage demurrers and special pleas, Pamela Lynn’s attorney Thomas Logie presents his client’s responses to charges she fraudulently mismanaged the school she and her late husband, William Lynn, founded 20 years ago.
Many of the responses in the 30page answer deal with the school’s financial affairs and the lessor-lessee relationship between the school and Clydetta Lynn, and Pamela Lynn’s actions and alleged actions that pertain to them.
In several cases the document makes distinctions between actions of the Lynns individually and actions taken as a corporate entity.
Paragraph by paragraph, the 30page answer responds to every statement, allegation and characterization included in the 70-page amended bill of complaint.
A complete picture of the $14 million suit, or Pamela Lynn’s response to it, can only be arrived at by reading the two documents sideby-side, an experience most will find repetitious and dull, due to the style of legal writing. By focusing on any part of the pleadings any writer would obviously leave out more than could possibly be included.
