Amissville
family escapes
injury in
house fire

David and Helen Solesbee of 377 Hinsons Ford Road, Amissville, Va. awoke last Wednesday at 3 a.m. to the sound of their smoke alarm.
“Thankfully the sihoke alarm was operational,” said Amissville fire and rescue department chief, J. B. Carter, Jr.
Within twelve minutes of receiving the call, the Amissville fire and rescue department had twelve firefighters on the scene.
Washington, Flint Hill and Castleton Fire and Rescue Departments also assisted Amissville, adding thirteen firefighters.
