Painting Library

The Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors is soliciting bids from firms to repaint the non-masonry exterior surfaces of the Rappahannock County Library. No prequalification is required for this contract.

The work includes the provision of all supervision, labor and materials to scrape and paint on all exterior woodwork, reglaze windows where necessary and paint all wood surfaces with two coats high grade exterior paint (paint brand to be approved by owner). Project does no} include painting vof roof, but does include painting exterior surfaces of all gutters & downspouts, columns, etc. Project is to commence as soon after April 1 as weather conditions permit, but is to be completed not later than June 15,2005.

All bids should .be submitted in a letter clearly identifying the company providing the service, be signed by the principal of the firm, and shall note any exclusions or limitations. The basis for the bid shall also be stated; for this agreement, a final and complete finished price shall be stated. All bids must be received at the County Administrator’s Office, Old Extension Office, 290 Gay Street, P.O. Box 519, Washington, VA 22747 by Friday, April 1, 2005, by 3:00 PM., at which time they will be opened and publicly read.

The terms of Competitive Sealed Bidding as set forth in the Virginia Public Procurement Act shall apply. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
