Yogi currently serves on the Troop 36 committee and its Board of Review. He serves the Shenandoah Area Council as council commissioner, a volunteer position which might be described as scoutmaster to scoutmasters. He is an Eagle Scout, has served as assistant scoutmaster to a Rappahannock troop in the 1980s, as former President of the local Lions Club, and currently serves Trinity Episcopal Church as Junior Wrrden.
