Spring is coming, the weather is warming up, and this is a fine time for a walk in our “local” park, Shenandoah National Park. How fortunate we are to have Shenandoah just next door.
A lovely but easy hike takes you to “Little Stony Man,” with a magnificent view across the Shenandoah Valley to the west.
The total walking distance is only one mile. Along the way, look fov spring wildflowers at the edge of the trail, such as bloodroot, hepatica, spring beauty, cutleafed toothwort, and wild geranium.
