Specialist Joshua Waddell, a medic with the United States Army, left Saturday, March 12 to return to his duties in Afghanistan, after a two week furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs Waddell of Boston. He has been involved in many humanitarian events during the past year.
The Waddells enjoyed a belated Christmas dinner with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Zampier and infant son, Korbin Alexander of Richmond.
Little Korbin was born January 11.
Joshua related some interesting stories conditions of things abroad, driving through blizzards to help a small boy, (who didn’t survive) with the ground covered with seven foot of snow.
Mrs. Waddell teaches at Rappahannock High School and prayers are coveted for her son as he returns to Afghanistan.
