February 24: "Growing Habitat

with Native Plants”

RLEP’s Biodiversity Task Force continues its year-long focus on wildlife habitat with a talk on using native plants in habitat, presented by Marion Blois Lobstein of the Flora of Virginia Project, to catalog The talk is at the Rappahannock Library from 10-11 a.m. The program is free, but please come early to ensure getting a seat. Feb. 24: “Cooter's Excellent Adventure”

Rappahannock County’s favorite star of screen, stage and television , Ben Jones and Musical friends returns to the Theatre on Feb. 24 at 8 p. m. Tickets, Adults $20, students 18 and under $5. Reservations recommended. For information call 540-675-1253.

Feb. 24: Community Drum Circle

All are invited to join in creating rhythm and music on Saturday, Feb. 24 from 5:30-6 p.m. at Sage in the Rappahannock Wellness Center. Group drumming has been proven to reduce stress and can help stimulate coordination, cooperation, and greater listening skills. All ages welcome. No experience necessary. There are plenty of drums and instruments to share, or bring your own. Suggested donation $5-10 (children free). For more information, call Sage (540)987-9699.

Feb. 25: Share the Fun Talent Show

The 4-H Share the Pun talent show is just around the comer. All youth between the ages of 9 and 19 are invited to perform in this program. Participants may sing, dance, tell jokes, recite poetry, play a musical instrument, or do any other on-stage performance. All acts must be “G rated,” with no more than four participants in each act, and each act can last no longer than four minutes. Participants are asked to come to five of the six rehearsals and the final performance. Everyone is invited to come to the final performance to see the youth in the county shine!

Feb. 15, 21, 22, 23 - rehearsals from 7 - 8:30 p.m. at Rappahannock County High School. Feb. 25 - Final performance at 2 p.m. at RCHS.
