began to take notice of a ‘freckle’ on my right forearm. It didn’t look quite right, but it was pretty small. I didn’t trust my intuition. I let it go. As time went on, it seemed to be getting a little bigger. Then, last week there arose a small bump under the freckle, and my concern grew to action.
If you are not already a patient of a doctor, you may know how difficult it is to get to see one. The earliest appointment I could get was in April, but, at least, it was this year. Then, while visiting with my regular doctor, I mentioned the freckle on my arm. He looked at it and wasn’t happy. Some phone calls were made, and before the day was over, two spots had been cut off my body and now I am waiting for the lab results and the word from the doctor on where we go from here.
I need to learn to trust my intuition more. Maybe we all do. It’s bad enough to have to dig your firewood out of the snow. But, if it concerns your health and you think you should have a doctor look at it, you probably should have a doctor look at it. Perhaps, you can learn from my mistake. I hope I have.
