Dear Rappahannock community
and neighbors,
We are in for a huge fight if we intend to defeat Dominion’s plans to add another 500-kilovolt electrical transmission line along our northeastern border parallel to the existing fine built there in the 1970s.
Many of you are aware I am sure that it was a similar fight that brought the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection into existence. In 1970-71, RLEP and this community won the fight to prevent the construction of an even more intrusive power line that would have bisected this county in a visually devastating way.
Sadly, we were then unable to defeat the next power line proposal that was built shortly
