March 7: Mark Jaster perform at WCDS
Mark Jaster, a mime artist who has appeared at the Kennedy Center and Wolf Trap, is scheduled to appear at Wakefield Country Day School on Wednesday, March 10, at 10 a.m. in the Leonard M. Cowherd Auditorium. Wakefield is extending an invitation to Rappahannock County families who would like to join them for the performance, subject to seating availability. The performance is appropriate for children in kindergarten through twelfth grade. The presentation, entitled “The Maestro,” should last about 30 - 40 minutes and includes comedy with sheet music and a music stand, a miniature concertina played atop a precarious pile of packages, a conducted clapping routine, and a hat trick finale. Jaster’s work has been described as “...using wordless wit, kinetic humor and playful interaction.” Mr. Jaster trained under Marcel Marceau and appeared last year at Chateauville to rave reviews. If you would like to attend the WCDS performance, please call 540-635-8555, ext. 231. Attend - Reservations Required
