Most clubs also offer a selfexplanatory “fast time” division as well, something often used by steeplechase riders for practice with young racehorses or aspiring jockeys who feel a need for speed. Fast time divisions, run over the same course as optimum, often finish in 10 minutes or less.
Most area clubs also offer a hilltoppers division without jumps for younger horses and riders. Many pace courses do have optional jumps that can be taken, or not, as riders choose, in the hilltoppers division.
