Volunteers prepare to respond
The RRMRC volunteers are prepared to respond in the case of a natural disaster or public health emergency in the counties of Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock.
RRMRC volunteers continue training throughout the year. All volunteers must complete an application and attend orientation prior to attending trainings. In January twelve RRMRC volunteers attended Epidemiology 101 and fourteen volunteers attended epidemiology 201.

Wednesday, February 21 Fauquier Hospital RRMRC Volunteer
Thursday, March 8 Smallpox Vaccination training. This training is only for those volunteers who are licensed to give injections.

In April, the RRMRC will be holding a drill where we will practice communication, epidemiology, logistics and mass dispensing.

Join us at an orientation for new volunteers on Thursday, March 8 from 6 -7:30 p.m. The orientation gives new volunteers an overview of the Medical Resen/e Corps, the Virginia Department of Health, the Incident Command System, the Strategic National Stockpile, and Dispensing Site Operations. This is followed by training in Biologic Agents: Category A. In addition you will receive a t-shirt, equipment bag and your ID badge.

1 March 17: Piedmont Softball Chili fundraiser*
Piedmont Softball Association is having our 5th annual ChK Fundraiser. This is PSA’s largest fundraiser of the year and all the proceeds go toward the girls. April 22: High School picnic
Students and teachers from the classes of 1949 through 1955 are invited to the Rappahannock Park on Sunday, April 22 at 1 p.m. for a time of fun and reminiscing. Plan to eat around 2 p.m. bring a covered dish beverage and a chair. Each student or teacher may bring their spouse or friend only (due to limited parking).
