Minimum maintenance is required compared to a conventional dirt track because the Poiytrack surface needs less watering and harrowing. • The top layer is Approximately seven inches of Polytrack surface material — some of which is compacted on the bottom and some of which is harrowed loosely on the top. Under this layer sits a 10-inch base consisting of a layer of porous macadam, a clean stone base and a drainage system that uses longitudinal drains and cross drains. Water flows vertically through the materials to a specially designed drainage system that carries the water away from the track.
