There are currently 10 people working at the post office, most of those as carriers. When you think about the square miles Amissville covers you can imagine how time consuming it is to drive to all those mailboxes.
One of the things I like best about our post office is the friendly welcome I always get there. Even at the busiest times of the year there, Christmas or tax season, if they’re stressed they never seem to show it. Good customer service is not always something that’s been associated with the postal service. But I think they could take lessons from the people working here in Amissville!
