Fourth graders in Rappahannock schools ranked at the same ability level as fourth graders in Madison but Rappahannock students scored higher on five achievement tests (reading, language, math total, social studies and science) and even on the remaining two.
Eleventh graders in Rappahannock scored higher in ability and achievement than juniors in Madison. Eighth graders, however scored higher in ability but lower in all areas of mathematics.
