Twenty years ago, “I was spread rather thinly” as a doctor who joined the medical staff at Culpeper Memorial Hospital soon after it opened, recalls Grahame F. Henson, M.D. surgeon and a mainstay of the hospital.
Dr. Henson, who came to the United States from England and to Culpeper from Charlottesville’s University of Virginia Hospital, found CMH “cosy and homey” and feels that it has retained much of that quality even with the growing sophistication it shares with medicine in general.
