Confronted by the supervisors on the continuing danger of the intersection of Rts. 17 and 28 at Bealeton, the local representative of the state Department of Highways and Transportation said March 13 that new safety steps will be taken there.
Don Askew, resident engineer with the highway department, told the supervisors that new blinking lights will be placed on caution and stop signs on Rt 28. He said cutting grooves in the Rt. 28 pavement was also authorized but would not be done immediately.
