Into River
A single vehicle wreck occurred in Sperryville .Saturday, March 15 on Route 211 just west of Route 671 about 7:30 a.m.
Shelby Atkins of Sperryville in a 1978 Chevrolet pickup ran off the left of the highway as he traveled west, struck a utility pole and went into the river, according to Trooper C. A. Moore.
Atkins sustained a nose injury, said Moore, who added that charges are pending. Damage to the truck was estimated at $5000.
