investigating the theft
of meat from the meathouse of Mrs. James Cropp in Amissville. Five hams and two shoulders were missing.
Mrs. George H. Davis entertained the Canasta Chib at her home in Washington March 11 and Mrs. J. W. Price entertained with bridge and canasta March 8.
Fire warden Raymond Johnson presented a film for the high school boys who belong to the Forest Fire Fighters organization.

and guests at the annnal banquet. H. S. Barksdale was emcee and entertainment was provided by the Barracudas, a local musical group composed of Wayne Sutphin, Patrick Foster, Jody Sutphin, John Moore and Cecil Pullen.
Tom Frost of Warren ton was seeking his eighth term in the Virginia General Assembly, representing Rappahannock, Fauquier and Warren counties.
Butch Browning, son of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Browning of Flint H31, was awarded a Woodrow Wilson Fellowship for graduate study. He was ooe of the ten students at the University of Virginia who were selected.

star medal with V device for heroism in Vietnam. He was with the 25th Infantry Division of the U. S. Army.
The home of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Edwards at Castleton was completely destroyed by fire and the family of five had only the clothes which they wore.
