F & M National Corporation of Winchester received notice today that the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond has approved their application to acquire Massanutten Bank and Trust of Harrisonburg.
Shareholders of Massanutten vote March 19th "on the merger. The affiliation calls for an exchange of 2Vj shares of F & M common stock for each share of Massanutten.
Year-end deposits of Massanutten were S10.8 million and F & M deposits exceeded SI66 million. F & M operates a branch bank in Flint Hill.
