Hearings Set
The Highway Department’s annual secondary road hearing for Rappahannock County will be held at the April 3 supervisor’s meeting, beginning at 10 a.m.
The hearing is designed for the supervisors and Highway Department resident engineer to receive comments and requests from county residents for improvement and maintenance projects on secondary roads. Remarks from this meeting will determine, in part, how the county spends its share of the state’s secondary road budget in the 1980-81 fiscal year.
A second public hearing on highways will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 15, at the department’s district office in Culpeper. This hearing is scheduled to obtain suggestions on setting priorities for improvements on interstate, arterial, primary and urban road systems. Similar hearings are being held in each of the state's eight highway districts and in Northern Virginia.
