The Lady Panthers are on a streak, maybe a ministreak, but still something to smile about after last season's spirit deflating record. They faced Bull Run District opponents in games last Thursday and Monday nights and beat them both.
“The girls are building up their confidence," said coach Theresa McLawhom who has maintained continually that it would take only a few victories to turn her girls around. “They're starting to believe in their shots. They’re getting better each game. Every girl on the team is giving 150 percent!"
In Thursday’s home contest against Manassas Park, three Panthers hit double figures, a first this season. But it still took everything the girls could pull from their back pockets to hold off a determined attack by the Cougars in the fourth quarter.
