Cadet Charles S. Wilson, son of Charles T. and Alexa E. Wilson of Amissville, received practical work in military leadership at the U.S. Army ROTC advanced camp. Fort Bragg, N.C.
The six-week camp, attended by cadets normally between their- third and fourth year of college, includes instruction in communications, management and survival training.
Successful completion of the advanced camp and graduation from college results in a commission as a second lieutenant in either the U.S. Army, Army Reserve or National Guard for the cadet.
Wilson is a ROTC cadet and a student at Virginia Military Institute, Lexington.
Correction
The real estate transfers in the September 15 issue of the Rappahannock News listed Kenneth R. Pullen as purchasing lot numbers 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16 in the Wakefield District. It should have read lot 12, 13, 14, 15 and 35 ft of lot 11. The News regrets the error.
