First Baptist Activities
The Ushers Board of the First Baptist Church will hold its anniversary on Sunday, October 2 at 3 p.m. at the church. The Rev. Dexter Tapscott and congregation will be conducting the services. Ushers from the sister churches are invited to attend in uniform.
The First Baptist Church senior choir will hold its regular meeting on Wednesday, September 28 at 7:30 p.m. at the church. All choir members are urged to attend. V
Back To School
Boogie II
It’s a dance at the high school gym Friday, September 23, 7:30-11 p.m.
Sponsored by the RCHS Booster Club as a fundraiser for computer equipment, the dance will include rock ‘n’ roll, soul and Top 40 music recorded and played by Dr. Glo and his Moonglo Madness. Students in grades 8-10 may bring a guest from another grade level but they must sign up in the school office the day before the dance.
Admission is $2 per person. Baked goods and sodas will be sold.
NAACP Branch Meeting
The NAACP will meet at the First Baptist Church in Washington on Friday, September 30 at 7:30 p.m.
All members and interested persons are urged to attend.
