The final cost of the Inis shop/central office construction came to $127,000, down from the January bid price of $138,871, hut still higher than the original projected cost of $100,000.
In January the hoard voted to eliminate the requirement that the parking lot have a double seal and prime in order to reduce the contract by $8,000.
An open Rouse and tour will be planned after final acceptance.
New Floor
The school board also approved payment of $1,020 to the Randolph Shop in Cul peper for installing a new floor in the home economics room at the high school.
Estabrook said the price was in line with replacing the tiles in what lie described as “an over-sized classroom” and explained that the problem had started while the building was closed for vacation during Christmas, 1980. Estabrook says some water pipes burst while the building was dosed and the water stood on the floor for some time before it was discovered.
