“Those are the people most directly effected," Snead said. He told the supervisors that he’d also attended the last meeting of the Rappahannock Fire and Rescue Association. "I think we’ve got our heads together. . . I told them we would include them from the ground on up and I intend to do just that.”
Supervisor Hubert Gilkey, who was also at the Fire and Rescue Association meeting, agreed that the group home presented no problems to the county’s emergency service units.
Snead acknowledged that people have expressed anxiety regarding the type of patients to be served by the adult home. "We hava a $5,000 feasibility study done by the Medical College of Virginia,” he reported, offering the board members photographs of patients in a similar facility operated by his partner in Germany.
