Russell and Jackie Patterson shuffled their way across the stage in unison, keeping the rat-atat-tat of their feet at a pace that would impress even Fred Astaire.
Fancy, fast footwork, pirouettes, and the swaying, jumping and bumping of the energetic bodies flashed before the audience, draped in the suave and sleek colors of blacks and whites highlighted by dashes of bold reds or blues.
The look of the Big Band Era was most definetly present, as costume designer, Willa Kim's creations exhibited her award-winning talents in such performances as " The Mooche," “Sophisticated Lady" and “Caravan." The glitter of gold bordered the sides of black tails , and the satin gowns topped with high necks of marabou and egret ruffled to and fro from the stage.
