The F. T. Baptist Church group had their picnic at the home of the Rev. and Mrs. Douglas Farmer in Haywood on Sunday. Quite a few from the neighborhood attended.
Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Revercomb of Arlington spent Saturday night at NELMAR en route home from Blacksburg where they accompanied their daughter, Ginger to VPI, w'here she is enrolled for the fall semester.
Mrs. Robert Lillard, Mrs. Randal Lillard, Mrs. Albert Yowell and daughter, Leanna and Mrs. Roger Jones attended the bridal shower at the Etlan United Methodist Church on Saturday evening for Miss Shirley Smith, whose marriage to Lewis Jenkins will take place in October.
Tuesday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lillard were Mrs. Lillard’s nephew and new bride, Mr. and Mrs. Chet Roth III of Summerset, New Jersey.
