This album's secrets are harmonies that never change, a soft rock beat and a flavor of country, provided by Cecil Hooker playing four and five string guitars.
Night Fighter is like a good book; it manipulates you emotionally. Starting with a slightly upbeat tempo in "Bad Bad Billy," the tone and tempo slowly diminish to soothing ballads like "Faithful." The album then reaches a peak in "Long Tall Sally," and ends with "Feels so Good." This is a good experimental album that might broaden you music tastes; not quite a "grabber," but close.
