At the wine festival, the Salahi’s champagne was awarded the prestigious gold medal, an honor never before accorded to a Virginia champagne. It’s a festive drink, light, fruity, very dry, a rung below the good French champagnes but superior to most of the New York and California varieties of comparable price.
At $12 a bottle, it's the most expensive of Oasis’ products. Hut the price is more than reasonable, considering the painstaking care that goes into producing champagne in the traditional method developed by the gentleman named Dom 1’erignon.
